Deciding Learning Levels

Learning levels overview

Firstly, learners need to decide which qualification level will be most suitable for them based on their job function and / or management level. This can be either the level that they work at now, or a level they wish to aspire to. Remember, aspiring to a level that is higher than the one learners are currently working within will be very effective in developing their career progression, but will be a more challenging level to study for. The following chart maps the eight levels against management titles:

  • Level 1: Entry Level
  • Level 2: Established Team member
  • Level 3: Supervisory / First Line Manager (explained below)
  • Level 4: Middle Manager (explained below)
  • Level 5: Experienced and Established Middle Manager (explained below)
  • Level 6: Senior Management Level (explained below)
  • Level 7: Experienced and Established Senior Manager
  • Level 8: Executive Manager / Director

Level 6

The Level 6 qualification is useful for those in a higher management position who have full responsibility for an organisation's property portfolio, who are instrumental in drafting business plans and who make decisions that influence business direction. The qualification is particularly to those who would like to have something to show for all the hard work thay have put in over the years.

The qualification helps to consolidate their position and demonstrate that the actions they take are worthy of academic recognition.
