| No. of hours a learner will study | The BIFM suggest the programme could consist of 196 hours guided learning. In addition, learners will need to allow time for research and preparation of assessments. If topics are completely new to a learner, then the study time will be significantly greater. Learners may need to allow for up to 9 hours per week. Programme duration is 15 months, comprising 5 blocks of 3 months study and assessment. |
| Will learners conduct homework or work-based assignments? | Yes, the format of the learning requires self-study on a distance learning basis, supported by work-based assignments that should be submitted for each topic area. Reflective learning workshops are conducted to review learners study achievements, discussion of relevant issues and for tutors to provide additional subject input. All course work completed will prepare learners for the final summative work-based assessments. |
